Congratulations to Archbishop Hoban High School’s mock trial program for a historic day at Regionals on February 7^th. For the first time in Hoban’s mock trial history, they successfully advanced three teams to States. For context, typically only about 25 teams out of a pool of 300 make it to States from across the State of Ohio. And, in a delightful twist, Hoban Gold (coached in part by HCP Attorney Carol Tran) secured the 1^st place trophy and Hoban Silver secured the 2^nd place trophy. Since 2014, the Akron Bar Association has dedicated the Regionals competition to Jeff and Peg Schobert’s memory, naming the 1^st place trophy after Jeff and the 2^nd place trophy after Peg. We wish them the best of luck as they head to States on March 6th!
