Mr. Moss is one of the founding partners of HCP. Since 1982, Mr. Moss has carried on a sophisticated and diverse litigation practice with particular emphasis in the areas of product liability, wrongful death, toxic tort, medical malpractice defense, general personal injury, intentional tort, premises liability, and insurance defense. He also represents clients in commercial litigation matters including contract, property damage, environmental, and construction claims.
Mr. Moss has successfully handled and tried cases in both state and federal courts throughout Ohio as well as in Connecticut, Kentucky, Illinois, and West Virginia.
During the course of his career, Mr. Moss has tried more than 70 civil cases to verdict and arbitrated or mediated scores of others. He has argued cases before the Ohio Supreme Court, numerous Ohio Courts of Appeal, as well as before the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Mr. Moss has also lectured nurses and other health care providers on a variety of topics, including medical documentation and malpractice avoidance strategies.
Since 2009, Mr. Moss has been named an Ohio Super Lawyer in the areas of general personal injury defense and medical malpractice defense. Since 2002, Mr. Moss has carried the Martindale-Hubble “AV Preeminent” rating, signifying the highest possible peer rating in both legal ability and ethical standards.
